Farbtonmacher – Shades generator

Farbtonmacher is a minimalist, browser-based tool designed to generate accessible color shades from a single base color. Created by Berlin-based digital designer Pavel Laptev, the tool enables designers to create tonal palettes that align with accessibility standards, such as WCAG AA and AAA contrast ratios.  

Users can input a hex color code and adjust parameters like brightness, saturation, and temperature to produce a range of shades. The interface displays each shade alongside its corresponding contrast rating, facilitating the selection of colors suitable for various UI elements, including backgrounds, text, and buttons. Farbtonmacher operates entirely in the browser without requiring sign-up or downloads, making it a convenient resource for designers seeking to develop inclusive and visually cohesive color systems.
