Things is a sub-project within Extraordinary Things, led by Creative Director Yashas Mitta. It is a conceptual and visual exploration of surreal, dreamlike objects generated using cutting-edge text-to-image AI models. Positioned under ExtraOrdinary Aliens, an experimental creative practice based in Brooklyn, NY, the project blends art, storytelling, and technology to produce visually striking and emotionally rich digital artifacts. Each object is the result of meticulously crafted prompts—designed to evoke specific textures, lighting conditions, materials, and imaginative worlds.
The project draws creative influence from dreams, childhood folklore, sci-fi, and pop culture. While the visuals are algorithmically generated, the artistic intent behind the prompt-writing and curation gives the work a distinctly human signature. The team invites collaborators—artists, makers, and creatives—to reinterpret or realize these virtual objects in physical or digital form. Licensing opportunities are also open, and the visuals have already been used by musicians, artists, and brands. The core team includes Yashas Mitta (Creative Director), Romain Granai (Creative Developer), Saloni Soni (Design Advisor), and Jack Vanzet (Motion Design).
